At AJF 4X4, we understand how important it is to get your gear quickly. We aim to dispatch all orders as fast as possible, with a target dispatch timeframe of 3–10 business days once your order has been processed. Processing can occasionally take 2-3 business days as we are a small team. 

  • Many items are built or ordered on an as-needed basis. For these products, your order will normally be dispatched within 1–2 business days after we receive stock from the manufacturer or supplier.

You will receive a separate notification when your order has shipped, including shipping and tracking details where available.

However, some products are shipped directly from our suppliers. While we work hard to keep our stock levels accurate, there are times when items sell out faster than expected or our suppliers run out before our website can update. In these cases, your order may be placed on backorder, which can sometimes take as long as eight to ten weeks to arrive depending on the product and supplier, or manufacturing.

These delays are outside of our control, and while we always do our best to keep customers informed, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing an order if you need an item urgently or by a specific date.

Please note that we do not offer refunds for change of mind, especially if the shipping policy has not been read prior to purchase. It is the customer’s responsibility to check availability and understand our terms before ordering.

If you call and we are unable to answer, please leave a message, as we are often busy in the workshop or assisting other customers. We will return your call as soon as possible.

Our team will always do everything we can to keep you updated and get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Returns and Refund Policy

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The product must be defective or supplied incorrectly, and not be able to be remedied within a reasonable timeframe. 
  • Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • It must be in the original packaging.
  • You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at accounts@ajf4x4.co.nz within 3 days of receiving your order.

Once your return request is approved:

  • We will provide you with a return authorization number and instructions on how to send your item back.
  • A return shipping label will be sent to you.
  • Returns must be sent to:
    90 Old Taupo Road, Mangakakahi, Rotorua 3015

Important: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Restocking Fee

A 30% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund for all items/orders that have already been processed, and all orders that are cancelled. 


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you via email about the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • A refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7–14 business days, minus the 30% restocking fee.
  • Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you haven’t received your refund, please contact us at accounts@ajf4x4.co.nz


Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Items opened and already test fitted or fitted to vehicles.
  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, plants)
  • Custom or personalized products
  • Personal care items (e.g., beauty products)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Sale items or gift cards

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same one, email us at accounts@ajf4x4.co.nz
